European H profile standard profiles. English is called H Beam. H profiles are available in different varieties such as Hea, Heb, Hem. The designation of the hea profiles comes from the ear width. The Hea 100 profile is called the dimension h of the steel profile as shown in the figure below. So hea 100 profile height is 100 mm. H Steel Profile Historical

H profile was patented in 1849 by Alphonse Halbou. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was used in the construction of steel bridges and skyscrapers in America. The H profiles used in the construction of the Eiffel tower are indispensable elements of steel construction structures.

H profiles can be produced in different qualities according to their dimensions. H profiles can generally be produced to quality standards s235, s275 and s355.
