Npu profiles are generally used in steel construction structures as a carrier and connecting type of steel profile. They are also called U beam or Upn.

Npu profiles can generally be produced as grades s235, 275 or s355 as commercial grades. The most used upn profile type of structural steel can be selected according to regional geographical conditions. S235jr quality npu profile type is suitable for use in normal air temperatures. S235j0 is resistant to use at 0 degrees air temperature.

When ordering the npu profile you need to specify which quality you want. The commercial quality S235JR is standard production.

Npu profile can be produced from 60 mm width to 550 mm width.

When we look at the detailed npu profile technical drawing above, the back section of the U profile which is indicated as h also gives us the name of the upn profile.

When you order the NPU 100 mm, the back width of this profile will be 100 mm.

We have mentioned that the NPU profiles are usually produced from S235JR. The quality of St235 is often referred to as st37. As the width of the npu profiles increases, structural strength and strength of the structural carrier will increase, so s275 quality is preferred. The quality of s275 is referred to as st 44.
